About us
Strategic Frequencies was created to assist musicians in their development, while emphasizing the importance of their gifts. The music we play or "frequencies" we release should be intentional and strategic. The words we sing have tremendous power. However the music we sing those words too, makes them all the more powerful. When sharing our gifts, we have power over our listeners. Therefore we must be careful and strategic with how we present ourselves as musicians.
Meet our Founder
Mya Matthews was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Like most musicians, her love for music began in church! That love carried on into middle and high school. In 2017 she attended Prairie View A&M University for music. In August 2021, she received her B.A of Music and minor of Mass Communications. That same August she would go on to teach 4th grade in the Houston Independent School District. After 3 years in the classroom, she had a calling to combine her love for music with her newfound love for teaching and went on to found Strategic Frequencies. "Your gifts aren't to make you famous, they are God's way of reaching those around you."
